Journal · Frequently asked questions

Are resin and microcement the same thing?

No. They can both create visually seamless surfaces, but they refer to different material families and application build-ups.

01

The choice does not begin with a label

“Resin” covers different build-ups, binders and finishes selected according to use. Microcement is a commercial term for thin cement-based coatings, normally protected by dedicated finishes.

02

The useful questions

Before choosing a material, clarify where it will be used, the existing substrate, exposure to water or wear, acceptable maintenance and the atmosphere you want. Two surfaces that look similar in a photograph may behave very differently.

How ResinLove helps

The comparison connects aesthetic character, technical conditions and real use. There is no universal winner: the aim is to narrow the field to solutions that genuinely suit the space.

This information supports orientation and does not replace assessment of the substrate and actual project conditions.

Every project begins with a conversation.

Tell us about the space, how it will be used and the atmosphere you want. The surface comes next: first we understand the project.
