Is resin compatible with underfloor heating?
In many cases yes, provided the screed, heating system, joints and application build-up are assessed together. Heat does not remove the need for a stable, properly cured substrate.
The screed comes first
Residual moisture, curing, flatness and cracking must be checked. The heating commissioning cycle before installation can also be decisive.
Movement and joints
Temperature changes cause movement. Structural and movement joints should not be ignored or indiscriminately covered; they need to be understood within the project.
Use after installation
Restarting the system and increasing temperature should follow the guidance for the selected build-up and site. Gradual adjustment protects both surface and substrate.
